25 days of Christmas Ornaments... Day 9

I love this one! I got it when my school age class and I went to the Crane Foundation. It's made of this beautiful glass

December Photo Challenge

What amazing and fun photos I have seen from everyone doing the December Photo Challenge. To see other photos or to join in, The December Photo Challenge go to ThoughtsNStuff.
I just had to start doing it too!

This is a tree outside my work. When I got out of work last night I started my car and went to clean it off. As I was doing that I saw this tree, a tree I drive by everyday. It looked so beautiful. I took lots of pictures that were ok and pretty but I wasn't as satisfied as I would have hoped. So I got in my car a began to leave. As I was driving right next to it it just looked perfect so I stopped my car in the middle of the road (good thing I was the only one there) and took this pic as well as a few others. I think this is definitely my favorite picture I've taken this winter, maybe ever.

I'm so glad to have snow! It makes it feel more like Christmas. Brrr it's cold and it's not fun to drive in but it's so beautiful! Today is a perfect day... a snow day! :)

Last night I basically wondered around taking pictures till I couldn't feel my hands. It was great! I must be crazy. If you would have heard me last year I was asking myself why I lived in Wisconsin. I love warm weather and summer time best but there is something about the snow that is amazing!

I plan to bundle up, play in the snow till i'm freezing, then come inside, drink hot cocoa and read harry Potter. That's my perfect snow day!

Here are some of my pictures from last night.

This just reminded me so much of a Transformer. Hehe! :)

25 days of Christmas Ornaments... Day 8

This one was given to me by my sister-in-law, Stacy, just this year. She is so sweet! I couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law.

25 days of Christmas Ornaments... Days 1-7

This just seemed like such a fun thing to do. I'm 7 days behind so here are 7 to catch up. :)
Day 1:
This is not the most beautiful or fanciest one I have but I remember these always being on our tree when I was a kid. My Grandma made many of these. I just adore them!

Day 2:

This is the ornament I made for Shane our first Christmas together. I laugh at it now... I could have done a much better job.

Day 3:

This one was given to me last year by a student in my class, Quinn. I'm so glad I have this ornament to remember her sweetness.

Day 4:

This is one my mom got me. This is me, Fishy!

Day 5:

This one I got more for my husband. He would have our whole place antlers if I would let him... Not happening! But I do love this picture from our reception!

Day 6:

This one is my favorite of the many panda ornaments I've gotten from my mom growing up. Pandas are my favorite animal and it just became a theme to get me everything panda. I love this one!

Day 7:

This is one I got for Shane last year. He didn't get a dear last year so I got this to be his dear. He made up for it this year with a 9 pointer. But I still like the ornament better. :)

A Real Tree

I was so excited to get a real Christmas tree this year. There is something about the look, feel, and smell of a real tree that just makes Christmas. This year we got a Fraser Fir. Our first Christmas together, Shane and I had a fake tree and last year we didn't have a tree at all. It was so nice we went to a tree farm by Westfield with Shane's family. The best part was I got to cut down our tree. I just love Christmas!

The frost on everything was so beautiful!

I just love decorating the tree.

Leo loved being under the tree.

Shoes = Love

I got to spend the day with my mother today. She got her hair cut with my hair as her inspiration. It looks fabulous! We went shoe shopping as well. I love shoes! :) There is nothing better than a sexy heal to make you feel tall and confident and empowered. I believe the last time I counted I had over 100 pairs of shoes. Yikes no wonder Shane wants me to down size. Sorry to say but No Way! Isn't it amazing how shoes can change an outfit, a mood, an experience.

“Funny that a pair of really nice shoes makes us feel good in our heads — at the extreme opposite end of our bodies.” -Levende Waters
“Aidan: Don’t take this the wrong way, but this place could use a little work.
Carrie: I know, but I can’t afford it.
Aidan: You’ve got eight thousand bucks worth of shoes over there.
Carrie: I needed those!” -Sex and the City

“I’ve spent $40,000 on shoes and I have no place to live? I will literally be the old woman who lived in her shoes!” -Sex and the City
Among the day of shopping I had the best sandwich ever! At Cosi's they have the Turkey and Stuffing sandwich. It has cranberry on it too. It was like having Thanksgiving dinner. My mom and I also split the Bread Pudding. Mmmmm!
Ok I know I might be getting excited a bit too soon but I can't wait for Christmas! I bought Leann Rimes Christmas CD today. YAY! It's just around the corner. Shane says I have to wait to put the tree up. Ok we'll do it his way... but as soon as Thanksgiving is over it's going up! :) I'm trying to find the perfect "First Christmas" ornament. We have had Christmas together before but this will be our first as a married couple. I haven't found anything that is just right yet. I still have time though. What a day shoes shopping, good food, and Christmas music... now that's a Saturday to remember!

Harry and David is one of my favorite places. It's nice that there is one in the Dells. I just have to say that the Raspberry Galettes are the BEST! If you have never tried these cookies you are missing out. Everyone should try them!

1st Blog

Ah my first blog. Woohoo! The last two weeks have been really hard. I have been dealing with a close family friend's death, health issues, and an insane week at work. It was nice to be home this weekend. You think I would have been happy to relax but I didn't. :) I decided it was a good time to rearrange everything. *deep breath* I tend to get an idea in my head and can't stop until I finish, even if it burns me out. It took me about 3 hours to move a shelf 10 feet. I smashed my head on a different shelf, banged my knee twice, scraped my finger, and bruised my pinkie. Lol! It's looking good. I also got to take out some of our wedding gifts we hadn't used yet. That was fun! Shane got to come home to me singing and dancing around the room. Hehe! Today was actually a nice and relaxing day (even though I was anxious). I got to spend time with my family at my brother-in-law's surprise party. Then I spent time with my sister working on music. Over all it was a much better weekend.
